Our Community Partnerships

As a community-based health system, we’re always looking for ways to better serve and engage even more people living in and around Hendricks County. That’s why we partner with over 250 local organizations, supporting them with wellness screenings, health education, youth enrichment programs, sponsorships and more. With 4,000 community service hours donated annually by more than 900 of our associates, we’re making a big impact in the lives of our friends, families and neighbors across West and Central Indiana.

The Imagination Lab: Hands-on Learning for the Next Generation

The Imagination Lab is an interactive learning space created by the Plainfield School Corporation in collaboration with Hendricks Regional Health. The goal of the lab is to make learning fun for Plainfield Elementary School students, and to get them interested in subjects including earth sciences, computer programming and health and wellness. In the Hendricks Regional Health section of the lab, students get to learn about heart health, CPR and other topics.

Nine13Sports and the Kids Riding Bikes Program

Nine13Sports is a local youth health and fitness nonprofit that uses their Kids Riding Bikes program to encourage young people across Indiana to ride bikes for exercise. Hendricks is partnering with Nine13Sports to help get this program implemented in every elementary and middle school throughout Hendricks and Putnam Counties, inspiring even more kids to be healthy and active.

How I.W.I.N. is Helping Local Women Fight Breast Cancer

Empowering and supporting women fighting breast cancer is the goal of I.W.I.N. (Indiana Women In Need), a statewide organization that Hendricks is proud to partner with. Nancy Shepard, R.N., is the founder and former executive director of I.W.I.N., and she’s helped countless women going through cancer treatment pay for groceries, gas, and get the support services they need to focus on recovery.

Staying Healthy and Safe at the Hendricks County 4-H Fair

Emergencies and first-aid situations can happen anywhere—even at the Hendricks County 4-H Fair. To help everyone stay safe and have a good time, Hendricks Regional Health provides attendees with emergency medical services, and has helped people with everything from minor cuts and scrapes to chest pains. We always enjoy supporting our community at the fair, and nothing makes us happier than seeing everyone have fun at this great event!

The Damar Games: A Day of Fun for Children with Developmental Disabilities

As one of the nation’s leading treatment centers for people with autism and developmental disabilities, Damar Services is doing remarkable work in our community. Since 2017, as an extension of our partnership with Damar, Hendricks associates have helped with the annual Damar Games. It is an exciting day of fitness and activities for kids who receive services there.
