Pain Management

Although pain is a normal part of life, living in pain is not. Hendricks Regional Health has a dedicated team of providers, nurses and staff who specialize in pain management. We take a multidisciplinary approach to pain care and will work with you to develop a plan that helps you control your pain and live your life with less discomfort.

We offer a wide array of services. Look below at the symptoms and conditions that typically result in a trip to one of our locations to determine the best place for you to seek help.

Our Services

Advanced Diagnostic Pain Treatment

The team at our Avon Pain Clinic has years of experience in diagnosing and treating back pain, neck pain, extremity pain, weakness resulting from back/neck injuries and nerve pain with non-surgical options. These physicians offer cutting-edge, minimally invasive therapies including steroidal injections and interventional treatments that effectively reduce pain and increase mobility.

Rheumatic Diseases

Arthritis and other rheumatic diseases are characterized by pain, swelling, and limited movement in joints and connective tissues in the body. If your physician suspects a rheumatic disease is causing your pain, he or she may refer you to a rheumatologist. These physicians diagnose and treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, scleroderma, bursitis and other auto-immune disorders involving pain in the musculoskeletal system.

Chronic Pain

The therapists at Hendricks Regional Health are experts in how the body works and moves. In many cases, patients may need to receive care from multiple therapy services during their journey to recovery. Our expansive rehabilitation services team consists of physical, occupational and speech therapists all working together seamlessly to promote healing, relieve pain, restore motion and help patients achieve daily comfort, ease and independence.

Persistent Pain

The pain treatment experts at Hendricks Regional Health provide diagnosis and interventions for patients suffering from persistent pain. We use a combination of state-of-the-art medical and complementary healing techniques to treat chronic pain. Our goal is to give every patient we treat with persistent pain a working set of tools to help them feel better and live their life with less discomfort.

Joint Pain

At Hendricks Regional Health, we care for every joint in your body with services including surgery, outpatient care and more. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, do not ignore them: joint pain that lasts more than 48 hours, aching pain after activity that does not get better with rest, tenderness at a specific point, swelling, limited range of motion, weakness, numbness or tingling.

Progressive Illness

Palliative care is specialized medical care for patients with a serious or chronic life-limiting illness. It focuses on giving patients relief from the symptoms and stress of their illness. Our palliative care team works with patients, their families and healthcare providers to support serious and chronic progressive illnesses and improve your quality of life.

If you are in a significant amount of pain and unable to see your primary care physician, the Emergency Room is the best place to seek treatment.
