Danville – Hendricks Regional Health has just received the 2015 Women’s Choice Award® as an America’s Best Hospitals for Obstetrics. Previously, Hendricks Regional Health was also named to the Women’s Choice Award America’s Best Hospitals list in two other categories: America’s Best Breast Centers and America’s Best Hospitals for Patient Experience. The America’s Best Hospitals Women’s Choice Awards are the only national lists that focus on female patient satisfaction. Following are how the awards are determined:

America’s Best Hospitals for Obstetrics Award
The list of more than 350 Women’s Choice Award winners represents only the best hospitals selected for obstetric services based on their exceptional scores for patient recommendation in HCAHPS surveys. Hospitals are then filtered to eliminate those with abnormal results for certain important clinical considerations, such as rates of infection or serious complications; the resulting list represents hospitals women can feel confident in choosing for their maternity needs.

America’s Best Breast Centers
Breast care is extremely vital to women’s health and women should choose breast centers that have met the highest standards in caring for their needs. All awarded centers have met the high standards of the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and carry the Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (BICOE) seal from the American College of Radiology. They also have above average patient recommendation ratings according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
