Hendricks Regional Health announces a new orthopedic and sports medicine practice, Hendricks Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, opening August 12 at 100 Hospital Lane, Suite 300, Danville. Physicians Kyle Ritter, M.D., and Chad Waits, M.D., are orthopedic and sports medicine specialists trained in orthopedic surgery and devoted to the diagnosis, management, rehabilitation and prevention of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
Hendricks Orthopedics and Sports Medicine provides patients with comprehensive physical examinations, consultations and onsite diagnostic imaging for bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerve ailments and injuries. After customizing a treatment plan for each patient, the physicians go a step further by providing information and tools to prevent future injury.
Patients who seek the services of an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician may have had a recent fall or accident, repetitive overuse injuries from sports or daily tasks, progressive pain from arthritis, or simply everyday aches and pains that don’t go away. About the Physicians:
Kyle Ritter, M.D. grew up on the south side of Indianapolis and graduated from the University of Evansville and the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. He completed his fellowship training in sports medicine at Wellington Orthopedics and University of Cincinnati where he provided medical coverage for the Cincinnati Bengals and University of Cincinnati athletic teams. Dr. Ritter is a former All-American Honorable Mention baseball player and a recipient of the Isaac R. Hargett, M.D. Outstanding Medical Student Award and the Mid-Central States Orthopedic Society, Inc. Hendry O. Marsh Resident Award. He is a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
Chad Waits, M.D. is a graduate of Missouri Southern State University and the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center and a sports medicine fellowship at Wellington Orthopedics and University of Cincinnati. Dr. Waits also has provided medical coverage for the Cincinnati Bengals football team, the University of Cincinnati Athletics Department and the Arena Football League’s Kansas City Brigade. He is an inductee in the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honors Society and a recipient of the James R. Olney, M.D. Memorial Award for Academic Achievement in Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Waits is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.
