DANVILLE, IN – Hendricks Regional Health and St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana officials announced its cardiology services agreement benefiting patients and families throughout Hendricks County and surrounding communities.
The cardiology partnership creates a model of health care that focuses on quality, patient satisfaction, efficiency and cost-effective care for Hendricks Regional Health.
John Sparzo, MD, Vice President of Medical Affairs at Hendricks Regional Health, explains how the partnership benefits patients. “We already provide extensive heart care services to the community from screenings and advanced testing to procedures like cardiac catheterization and balloon angioplasty that allow most patients to stay close to home. By partnering with St. Vincent, we’ve gone a step further to create an easy access point for those patients requiring care for the most complex heart issues.”
Through the partnership, Hendricks Regional Health offers enhanced cardiology capabilities including: cardiac rehabilitation, cardiac catheterization, coronary CT, angioplasty, intravascular coronary ultrasound, electrocardiography (EKG) and stress testing, echocardiography, nuclear medicine, peripheral vascular studies, pacemaker implants and generator changes, Holter monitoring and a $49 HeartScan.

Through the affiliation with Suburban Health Organization (SHO), Hendricks Regional Health and St.Vincent have established cardiovascular standards of quality and patient safety, and track information that supports best practice sharing and performance improvement. SHO is comprised of nine Central Indiana hospitals that work together to promote quality, efficiency and patient access in the communities they serve.
