Hendricks Regional Health has achieved Magnet® status, granted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and is accredited by Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP). We are also accredited by several other regional, state and national organizations, including:
Hendricks Regional Health is proud to have been named a Best Places to Work in Indiana in 2010, 2011 and 2013.
In 2013, our Sleep Disorders Center achieved national accreditation by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. The standards for accreditation ensure
the highest quality of medical care for those with a problem related to
sleep or daytime alertness.
In 2011, both the medical unit and physical and occupational therapy departments were recognized with an
“Excellence Through Insight Award” for overall patient satisfaction.
Staff in those areas received the highest ratings in patient satisfaction among HealthStream® clients nationwide. Hendricks Regional Health also received "Most Improved Community Perception of Quality." Awards are based on HealthStream® patient survey data from over 1,100 healthcare facilities – 22 percent of the nation’s acute-care hospitals.
Hendricks Regional Health is also accredited by the Society of Chest Pain Centers.
As an Accredited Chest Pain
Center, we ensure that patients who come to the Hendricks Regional
Health ER
complaining of chest pain or discomfort are given the immediate
treatments necessary to avoid as much heart damage as possible. Our cardiology team works seamlessly
with community emergency medical services (EMS) and other departments so
that patients get the right care during the critical early
stages of a heart attack.
Also in 2011, the Hendricks Regional Health Women's Center joined a prestigious group of breast centers nationwide named to the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.
Accredited programs offer patient outcomes that meet or exceed national
benchmarks for breast care, as well as care components such as patient
navigation, interdisciplinary conferencing and survivorship resources. The Center was also designated in 2011 as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
In 2010 we achieved Magnet® status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, widely
considered the “gold standard” in patient care, the highest honor an
organization can receive for nursing excellence. Research shows that
Magnet® hospitals consistently outperform other hospitals in patient
outcomes and satisfaction.
