Kevin Speer, JD, Chief Executive Officer
Speer is a graduate of Purdue University and Valparaiso University School of Law. In 1996, he became a partner at Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman, a law firm specializing in health care law. Most recently, he served as System Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for St. Vincent Health. Speer is Executive Vice President of the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians where he oversees that organization and acts as the principal spokesperson for the Academy and its 1800 members. An Eagle Scout, Speer is involved
in coaching and managing lacrosse and hockey.

John Sparzo, MD, MBA, Vice President, Medical Affairs
Dr. John Sparzo completed his medical training and residency
in internal medicine and pediatrics at the Indiana University School of
Medicine. After working as a primary care physician for five years, he
joined the executive team at Hendricks Regional Health in 2002. He
completed his master's degree in Business Administration at Ball State
University in 2008. Sparzo also serves in leadership roles of several
nonprofit organizations, including the Avon Education Foundation,
Hendricks County Senior Services, Avon Band Boosters, Hendricks County
Parks Foundation, and the Indiana Hospital Association. |

John Komenda, CPA, MBA, FHFMA, Chief Financial Officer
John Komenda has been Chief Financial Officer since November 1983. Prior healthcare experience includes five years as a member of healthcare audit and consulting teams for two regional CPA firms and one year as a cost accountant at Indiana University Medical Center. Mr. Komenda received his bachelor of science degree (1976) and his master's degree in business administration (1991) from Indiana University. He is active in his church and civic groups. Professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Indiana CPA Society and Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Dennis Barger, MBA, Vice President, Physician Practice Management
Dennis Barger received his bachelor of science
degree in business administration from Morehead State University and a
master's degree in business administration from the University of Indianapolis.
He served as Vice President of Professional Services from 1982 to 1987, leaving for six years to serve as
President/CEO for Affiliated Hospitals of Indiana, Inc. He returned in 1993 and has served in his current role
since that time. Barger is a member of the American College of
Healthcare Executives, the Medical Group Management Association, Suburban Health Organization and VHA.

Yvonne Culpepper, DNP, MSN, RN, Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President, Nursing
Yvonne Culpepper has been in her current role at Hendricks Regional Health since 1990. She is a graduate of Indiana University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing Administration. Dr. Culpepper completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Purdue University in 2010. Prior to joining Hendricks, Culpepper worked in a leadership position at a tertiary care hospital in Indianapolis. Culpepper is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the Indiana Organization of Nurse Executive, Central Indiana Organization of Nurse Executives, the Indiana Center of Nursing, American Nurses Association, Indiana Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. She serves in leadership roles of organizations such as Indiana Organization of Nurse Executives, Indiana Center of Nursing, Indiana Action Coalition: Transforming Healthcare, Visiting Nurse Services, the YMCA West Center Advisory Board, University Of Indianapolis School Of Nursing and Marian University School of Nursing. |

Gary Everling, MBA, Vice President, Strategy and Business Development
Gary Everling received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Greenville College and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Indianapolis. Everling has been in healthcare administration since 1998 and most recently served as System Executive of Business Development for St. Vincent Health. He is active in his church and for the past 22 years has enjoyed singing in an a cappella men’s quartet ministry. As an adjunct faculty member, Everling teaches healthcare policy, marketing and statistics at Indiana Wesleyan University. He is a member of the Medical Group Management Association and the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. |
