Bariatric Weight Loss Support Group A FREE weight loss support group for anyone who has had, or is considering, bariatric surgery. This support group is held on the second Thursday of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the HRH YMCA.
The support group is lead by a clinician with first-hand bariatric experience. Deborah A. Nelis, MAMFT, MA Ed, BSN, RN is the Education Consultant for St.Vincent Hospital. Deb had RNY Gastric Bypass in February 2008 and helped open the St. Vincent Bariatric Unit. Deb earned her Masters of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is certified to facilitate and lead support and therapy groups.
