Walk to Remember at Avon Town Hall Park

Parents who have lost a child are invited to attend the eighth annual Hendricks Regional Health Walk to Remember. This year's walk will take place at Avon Town Hall Park on Saturday, October 4; registration begins at 9 a.m., the program begins at 9:30 a.m.

The theme for this year’s Walk to Remember is “Continuing the Journey.” As part of the memorial service, families in attendance will have the opportunity to add their child’s name to a ribbon wreath and release a small wooden boat in the park’s lake. Following the memorial service, families can take a leisurely walk around the lake and visit the Angel of Hope statue located on the west side of the lake.

Walk to Remember is a national celebration that commemorates the lives of children who have died. Parents, siblings and grandparents who have lost a beloved child are encouraged to attend their local event.
