Commonly used in sports medicine for soft tissue release and stretching, foam rollers are used in this class for movement-based nervous system calming. By lying on a softer roller length-wise, gentle range of motion can be combined with strengthening and relaxation. This is an opportunity to try a variety of rollers, and participants usually experience improved sleep after using a roller.
