It is important to talk with your medical team about any complementary care you are receiving, and also to use them as a resource for questions or concerns. Complementary options at Hendricks Regional Health may include:
Breast Cancer Peer Support Group

Gentle Stretch Yoga
The group meets virtually (using RingCentral) on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Head & Neck Cancer Support Group
The group meets the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the HRH Cancer Center. Call (317) 272-3636.
Individual Counseling Sessions
For cancer survivors and their families. Available by appointment. Call (317) 650-0740 to schedule.
Chaplaincy/Pastoral Care
The chaplaincy department is available to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of patients and their families throughout their cancer journey. Call (317) 745-3417.
Nutrition Support
Eating the right foods during treatment can help patients feel better and stay stronger. Nutrition counseling and support is available to all patients undergoing cancer treatment. Our dietitians work closely with the patient's medical team to identify opportunities for nutritional support. Call (317) 745-3769.
Paws to Pet Program
Specially trained dogs help provide a soothing emotional experience that can provide a positive impact for our patients. The canine companions provide compassion and support that families appreciate in times of need.
Wellness Programs
After treatment, get help managing your overall health with a partner. Through one-on-one coaching, wellness nurses can provide support for increased physical activity, better stress management and more. In addition, we offer a wide variety of low-cost fitness classes to the community.
Transitions of Care
Social workers are available to help patients and families cope with the social, emotional and financial concerns related to cancer and to help them obtain the services they will need after discharge. Call (317) 745-3544.
Acupuncture
Dr. Joseph Herr, board-certified neurologist with Hendricks Neurology, offers acupuncture services. Call (317) 718-4730.
Massage Therapy
Patients staying in the hospital have access to trained massage therapists. Some of the benefits include promoting rest and helping to alleviate discomfort.
Financial Assistance Program
