About Event

In conjunction with Indiana legislation, Hendricks Regional Health is again offering Diabetes Volunteer Health Aide courses to all schools located in Hendricks and surrounding counties. This training will serve to meet the IC 20-34-5-14 legislation that indicates each school must provide a volunteer health aide(s) to assist the school nurse with the care of children with diabetes.



This class is open only to the individuals identified by their school district to serve in the role of Diabetes Volunteer Health Aide for the upcoming year.



The class is designed to prepare volunteers with the education, skills, and training necessary in caring for a child with diabetes in the school setting.



Volunteers from Hendricks and surrounding counties are welcome to attend.



*Registration is required. The class is free to attend with the class size limited to the first 30 participants.
