About Event

This American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider course includes one and two-rescuer CPR, management of obstructed airway, pediatric resuscitation, and use of mouth-mask/barrier devices. AED (Automatic External Defibrillation) will also be included. For satisfactory completion and a two-year certification, you are required to perform the maneuvers on a manikin in accord with the AHA performance criteria and pass a written evaluation. A healthcare provider could be any hospital employee with patient contact, EMT, dental techs, physicians, nurses, students in a healthcare profession, etc. This course is usually required if a healthcare provider is going to take the ACLS or PALS advanced life support course. Advanced Registration Required.  Fee includes the course book.
