Hendricks Regional Health Honors Comeback Athletes

On July 17, Hendricks Regional Health honored six high school athletes with the Comeback Athlete Award. One athlete from each Hendricks County High School was selected based on their return to competition after an injury, in addition to their leadership, sportsmanship and academic performance. All honored athletes were nominated by their high school athletic directors.

The 2014 Comeback Athletes are:
• Maggi Paxton from Avon High School
• Masey Bunn from Brownsburg High School
• Mallorie Smith from Cascade High School
• D. J. Shipley from Danville High School
• Brady Nichols from Plainfield High School
• Aaron Sorgius from Tri-West High School

All of the athletes received a certificate of recognition and a $500 scholarship.
