According to government statistics, one-third of American children are obese or at risk of becoming so.
To fight this epidemic on a local level, Hendricks Regional Health teamed up with the Hendricks County Health Department, local
parks departments, and the Hamilton Center to create the Hendricks County Action for Healthy Kids. This grassroots group of nutrition, fitness and
pediatric health experts works to help
prevent, identify and treat overweight or obese children to create healthier futures.
We encourage you to use our list of helpful resources to explore ways to improve your family's health through good nutrition and activity.
